A to Z Bookish Survey Tag

untitled

I saw this book tag on Brin’s Book Blog. As always I’ve been crawling the internet looking for interesting book tags I’d like to participate in 🙂 I found this one here.

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Either Enid Blyton or Cassandra Clare.

Best Sequel Ever:

Must I pick one?! This is too hard…

Currently Reading:

Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier.

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Hot chocolate.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Both.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Wow… There’s just so many fictional characters I would want to date 😛 Jamie from Doon. Tobias from Divergent. Warner from Ignite Me. Prince Maxon from the Selection. Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Some Fine Day by Kat Ross. I’m not exactly getting bored of dystopian books but all the same, it was a relief to find one that wasn’t totally cliche.

Hidden Gem Book:

Code Name: Verity by Elizabeth Wein. Considering I barely ever read historical fiction, I didn’t expectto enjoy this book as much as I did.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Creating my own book blog. I kind-of wish I had started a year earlier when I would had so much more free time to spend drafting posts and typing up “eloquent” book reviews.

Just Finished:

Fracture by C.J. Daugherty

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Non-fiction..

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke. This might actually not be one of the longest books I’ve read but it especially significant to me because

Major book hangover because of:

Usually reading too much or when I’ve just read a really good book and I don’t know what to read next!

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Only 2 because of lack of space :-/

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren

Preferred Place To Read:

My bedroom or the library.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

I saw this one on Brin’s Book Blog and I definitely agree 😀

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”
― George R.R. MartinA Dance with Dragons

Reading Regret:

I’m never able to get to all the books I want to read. 😦

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Vampire Academy series! It’s so so so good but I’m on a self-imposed book buying ban so I won’t be buying the next books in the series for a while…Unless I change my mind about that book buying ban 😀

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

You expect me to pick?! Haha I’m kidding. Divergent, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and a book from the Mortal Instrument series.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Cassandra Clare. She is one of my favorite authors. But if that question  is referring to a book then the TMI series or the TID series by Cassandra Clare 😀

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

That would be either Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare or Winter by Marissa Meyer.

Worst Bookish Habit:

I don’t have one! I’m perfect 😉 (Just kidding!)

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

The Medusa Plot (The 39 Clues: Cahills vs Vespers Book 1) by Gordon Korman.

Your latest book purchase:

Sorry but I wasn’t aware I was supposed to keep track..Actually I haven’t bought anything in a while – I’m trying to get through the books on my TBR pile first!

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Harry Potter. Seems like a cliche answer, I know, but this is honestly the only book that kept me from missing sleep. I’m a big fan of sleeping so I don’t usually stay up too late reading.

  1. I like book tags too, so much fun! I haven’t read Ruby Red yet, I hope it’s good. I wasn’t sure about Code name Verity either, but I’m glad it’s good. You don’t have to worry about eloquent reviews. The kind I like the best are the personal ones. Great Martin quote! I think Tyrion said something similar in an earlier book too. I can’t wait for Lady Midnight and Winter too! I hope there are Jem + Tessa moments!

To be honest, I didnt like Ruby Red that much but I hope you do. I prefer reading reviews that are eloquent but personal.. (I dont like seeing too much fangirling or bad grammer).. And Im hoping for more Jem + Tessa too!

  2. I totally need to finish Vampire Academy, and Bloodlines. Richelle Mead is a genius and I always regret it when I don’t drop everything to read one of her new releases.

This was great! I can’t remember if I did it already or not. =/ I’m a Harry potter fan as well. And that GRRM quote was great – I totally forgot about it because the books are so long >.<

Thanks 😀 LOL That probably happens to the best of us! I usually use Goodreads for all my quotes because I have to double-check that I’m not remember it all wrong. 😛
